From Malik Studio to machine manufacturing
SRK Team Star did not begin with a machine drawing. It began behind a camera, with the practical habits learned while running Malik Studio in Gohana.

The foundation was a photo studio
Malik Studio was established in Gohana in 1985. Its work included passport photographs, school portraits and the family pictures customers chose to frame and keep. The business grew through attention to the image, its presentation and the person collecting the finished work.
A studio teaches more than photography. It teaches consistency, careful handling and the importance of delivering work that looks right when the customer sees it up close. Those habits became valuable later, when the work moved from individual photographs to the equipment used by professional frame makers.
A successful business can still feel limited
The studio was doing well, but success did not remove the feeling that the scope for learning and long-term growth had become narrow. Continuing with the familiar work would have been comfortable. It would not have answered the need to build something more technical and more useful to a wider market.
That question changed the direction of the business: what sits around a photograph after it leaves the studio, and where are the unresolved problems in that industry? Looking at the complete journey of an image led naturally to picture frames and then to the machines used to make them.
Finding the manufacturing gap
Frame makers need equipment that can repeat accurate cuts and joints throughout a working day. The market opportunity was not simply to sell a machine. It was to understand the work around the machine: the moulding, the operator, the production target, the available space and the cost of an avoidable mistake.
Our background helped us see the job from the frame maker's side. SRK Team Star was created to turn that understanding into practical machinery and dependable production solutions for the photo frame industry.
Made in Gohana, working across borders
The company has grown from its local roots to serve customers across India and internationally, including Bhutan, Nepal and markets in Africa. Each installation brings a new workshop, new working conditions and another opportunity to improve how we design and support our solutions.
The thread connecting Malik Studio and SRK Team Star is learning through the work itself. The tools have changed from cameras to industrial machines, but the standard remains familiar: understand what the customer is trying to produce, build carefully and stay accountable for the outcome.
